One can reach there by road from Parasnath Railway station which is nearest railway station from Sikharji approx. 01 hour

Whole hill is having very beautiful view. It is having about 31 different tonks of different Tirthankaras. One can go by walk as well as by Doli (02 or 04 person carry Pilgrims on their shoulder). On the way one can pray at different tonks at different heights.

At first there is Gautam Swami tonk, which is at approx. half distance from Taleti (Starting point of Hill). After that there is 03 different ways, One is going to Jal Mandir which is main temple for Jain pilgrims, second is going towards Parhvanathprabhu tonk and third one is going to Chandraprabhu tonk which is highest as well as far away from all other tonks.

One has to go specially to Chandraprabhu tonk as it is in different direction from all other tonks. Mostly all pilgrims do Puja at Jalmandir by taking bath there only at derasar. Some strict pilgrims neither eat nor drink anything till they reach Jalmandir. Sometimes in rainy or foggy season Jalmandir is covered by clouds and it is awesome view from top of mountain.

Parshvanathprabhu as well as Chandrprabhu tonk is located at more height than Jalmandir, so it is having very beautiful view.

Pilgrims start Yatra (Tour) to hill at early morning at around 3.30 to 4.00 o'clock in morning so they can reach Jalmandir till 10 o'clock. If someone will go to all tonks it will take approx. 12 hours to return to Taleti.

Shwetambars and Digambars both are doing Yatra as there are temples for both of them. All the pilgrims use stick to climb hill for support as well as for balance.

Before starting yatra every one go to Bhomiyaji dada temple which is located at Taleti. It is believed that if you forget your way to top Bhomiyaji will guide you.

Doliwalas eat only rice and dal during their journey towards top Hill. They make doli with chair on it so you feel comfortable during your journey. They are very good to maintain rhythm while climbing on hill.

Jain people have asked govt. to stop making it tourist place so that value of it don't get reduced as well the glory of such holiest place maintained.

Jain Temple (Derasar)

A   Jain temple ,   Derasar   (Gujarati: દેરાસર) is the   place of worship   for Jains, the followers of   Jainism .   Jain architecture   is essentially restricted to temples and   monasteries , and Jain buildings generally reflect the prevailing style of the place and time they were built. 6 Gau Yatra

Fagan Sud Teras is the day that thousands of pilgrims perform what is known as Chha (6) Gau Yatra. It is named after the length that is traveled — 6 gau is approximately 12 miles. This yatra is only done on this day due to its difficulty and remoteness. The journey takes pilgrims to many sites on the Shatrunjaya  Hills that are lesser known but extremely auspicious. The journey starts through a small window near the Ram Pol gate. The first temple one reaches is of the six sons of Devaki. As per the Ramayana , Devaki is the mother of Krishna, but before giving birth to him, she had six other sons. All six took Diksha under Neminath Bhagwan and went to Moksha (liberation) near that spot. The next stop is Chandan Talav (Lake). It is said that a disciple of Gandhar Pundarikswami, one of Adinatha  Bhagwan’s chief disciples, created this small pool so that other pilgrims could quench their thirst while climbing the mountain. The banks of this lake are famous as the loca...
