Due to rise in Sodium level in body there is chances of hike in Blood pressure which may lead to vertigo, headache and also rise in heart beats.

Now let’s understand how blood pressure rises in body:

  • Excessive salt intake in diet
  • No exercise or workout like walking or routine work etc.
  • Physical Inactivity
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol Consumption
  • Tension

Now a days life of every person is full of tension, some having financial tension, some having family tension, some are having work related tension or some are having others. So now a days not a single adult person is there who is having no tension. That’s why hypertension is most common syndrome now a days for adult.

As per survey done in 2019 approx. 16% of adult population having Hypertension, so we can say it is pandemic for whole world now a days.

In normal blood pressure condition blood flow easily through heart while in elevated blood pressure blood is not flowing easily through heart which leads to extra attempt for heart to work and lead to rise in pressure and also perspiration happens and person feel uncomfortable.

It is measured by instrument called BP monitoring device, which comes manually as well as automatic. Manual device was used in previous time by doctors which is having mercury in it and doctor have to pump air to check pressure. Now a days automatic device came in market which is very much easy for doctor as well as for any patients to keep it at home, one just has to tie a belt as tube of device set in a way that matches veins of hand and just push a button, device will directly provide result in maximum 1-2 minutes. However, the result may vary from +/- 5mmHg but one can get approx. idea regarding BP.

If patient is having high blood pressure doctor will prescribe medicines to control blood pressure but along with that doctor will also instruct patient:

  •     Reduce salt intake in regular diet
  •     Stay physically active
  •     Stop smoking
  •     Stop drinking alcohol
  •     If possible, reduce tension by doing yoga or pranayama

It is very much common disease now a days for youngsters also due to junk food and also taking food from outside rather than eating of house. In recent trend of work from home employees miss physical activity and lead to hike in body weight and also chances of raise in Blood Pressure, so such employees should go for walk at least for half an hour daily and to ensure that walking make them perspiration due to which if excess salt available in body will drain out. Sometimes slight hike in pressure may control by normal exercise or Yoga and pranayama also without taking any medications.

One more reason of hypertension is family history or family background, if any person having this disease than chances of the same in their children are major so such person have to observe any symptoms than immediately contact doctor to avoid major problems any.

Raise in blood pressure without notice may lead to Brain stroke, paralysis etc. so one must have to take action before it gets too late.

Leafy vegetables, fresh fruits also helps to reduce elevated blood pressure so every one should include such food in regular diet to avoid chances of hike in blood pressure and also to avoid taking medicines to control the same.

Today on 17th May World Hypertension day, lets take pledge to try to minimize chances of rise ion blood pressure and also if there is  rise in blood pressure try fully to control the same by above mention methods before it gets too lat.

It is said that a disciple of Gandhar Pundarikswami, one of Adinatha  Bhagwan’s chief disciples, created this small pool so that other pilgrims could quench their thirst while climbing the mountain.
